Gilgit

Gilgit is the largest city in Gilgit-Baltistan. The city is surrounded by the high mountains of Karakoram. The historic Silk Road passes through here and the world's three highest and most difficult mountain ranges, the Karakoram, the Himalayas and the Hindu Kush, also meet here.

In addition to the world's second highest peak, K2, the world's three largest glaciers are located in the region.

گلگت سے تقریباً 100 کلومیٹر کے فاصلے پر واقع وادی ہنزہ ایسی پُرکشش وادی ہے جس کا حسن یہاں آنے والے سیاحوں کو مبہوت کر کے رکھ دیتا ہے۔ خزاں کے موسم میں تو اس حُسن کو چار چاند لگ جاتے ہیں۔

گلگت

گلگت، گلگت بلتستان کا سب سے بڑا شہر ہے۔ اس شہر کے چاروں طرف قراقرم کے بلند و بالا پہاڑ ایستادہ ہیں۔ یہیں سے تاریخی شاہراہِ ریشم گزرتی ہے اور دنیا کے تین بلند ترین اور دشوار گزار پہاڑی سلسلے قراقرم، ہمالیہ اور ہندوکش بھی یہیں آکر ملتے ہیں۔

دنیا کی دوسری بلند ترین چوٹی کے ٹو کے علاوہ دنیا کے تین سب سے بڑے گلیشئیر بھی اسی خطے میں واقع ہیں۔

موسمِ خزاں میں بلند، برف سے ڈھکی چوٹیاں اور سرخ ، نارنجی اور پیلے رنگ اس شہر کو حسین ترین مقام بنا دیتے ہیں۔

گلگت کے ضلع غذر کی تحصیل گوپس میں سطح سمندر سے 9867 فٹ بلندی پر پھنڈر کی رنگ بدلتی حسین وادی واقع ہے۔

حسینی گوجال

ہنزہ سے سوست جانے والے راستے پر مڑیں تو ایک چھوٹا لیکن انتہائی خوبصورت گاؤں، حسینی گوجال آباد ہے۔ اس گاؤں کی ایک وجہ شہرت یہاں بنایا گیا ’حسینی پل‘ بھی ہے جسے عبور کرنا ہر سیاح کی خواہش ہوتی ہے۔

پاکستان اور چین کے درمیان بارڈر ٹاؤن، سوست

سوست، گلگت بلتستان کا ایک اہم گاؤں ہے۔ شاہراہ قراقرم کی تعمیر کے بعد سے سوست نے گلگت بلتستان کے علاقے میں ایک اہم تجارتی مرکز کی حیثیت حاصل کی ہے۔
