Islam and personal freedom
The position of Islam regarding freedom is that it is a supporter and protector of freedom. In this regard, this statement of Amir al-mu'minin Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) can be quoted. "Matthew used to oppress people and gave birth to them."
