Big bang theory ( Quran and science)
Creation of the Universe: The Big Bang:
Astronomers explain the origin of the universe through a widely accepted phenomenon known as the "Big Bang." Evidence for the Big Bang includes information gathered by astronomers and astrophysicists through observations and experiments over the past several decades. According to the Big Bang, initially the whole
universe was in the form of a large mass, (also called a primary nebula), then a great explosion, the Big Bang, which resulted in the formation of galaxies. Then these galaxies split into stars, planets, sun, moon, etc. The beginning of the universe was so unique and untouched that the probability of its coming into existence by chance was zero (nothing).
The following verses of the Qur'an describe the beginning of the universe:
“Those who disbelieve will not see that the heavens and the earth are in a state of restraint.” [6]
Translation: "And did not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one unit, so We tore them apart?"
There is no denying the striking resemblance between this Quranic verse and the Big Bang! How is it possible that a book that appeared in the deserts of Arabia 1400 years ago today contained such an extraordinary scientific fact?
Expanding universe:
In 1925, the American physicist Edwin Hubble provided observational evidence that all galaxies were moving away from each other, which meant that the universe was expanding. This is one of the accepted scientific facts today. See what the Qur'an says about the nature and nature of the universe:
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ [7]
Translation: "And We have created the heavenly universe with mighty power, and verily, We are expanding it."
The correct translation of the Arabic word "masoon" is "we are expanding and expanding" and it refers to a universe whose expanses are constantly expanding. Stephen Hawking, one of the most famous contemporary astrophysicists, writes in his book A Brief History of Time. The discovery that the universe is expanding is one of the great intellectual revolutions of the twentieth century.
Note that the Qur'an describes the expansion of the universe at a time when man did not invent the telescope, yet some skeptics may say that the presence of astronomical facts in the Qur'an is a surprise. Not a good thing because the Arabs were very good at this. As far as the Arabs' expertise in astronomy is concerned, their view is correct, but they have failed to realize the point that the Qur'an was revealed centuries before the rise of the Arabs in astronomy.
In addition, many of the scientific facts mentioned above, such as the beginning of the universe from the Big Bang, etc., were not known to the Arabs even when they were at the height of advances in science and technology, so the scientific facts stated in the Qur'an by any means The Arabs' mastery of astronomy cannot be attributed to them. In fact, the opposite is true. The Arabs progressed in astronomy because astronomical discourses have been given an important place in the Qur'an.
Botany [edit]
Males and females in plants:
Man in ancient times did not know that plants, like animals, have males and females. However, modern botany shows that every plant has a male and a female. Even plants that are unisexual. They also combine the different components of matter and matter.
وََّنْذَ لَ مِنَ السَّمَآ ئِ مَآ ئً ط فَاَ خْرَجْنَا بِه اََزً وَا ج ما مِنّ نَبَا تٍ شَتّٰی ہ [8]
Translation: And We send down water from the sky, and We cause to grow therein pairs of different kinds of plants which are separated from one another.
Male and female differences in fruit:
وَمِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ جَعَلَ فِيْهَا زَوْ جَيْنِ اثْنَيْن [9]
Translation: He has created pairs of all kinds of fruits.
Fruits are the last product of reproduction in high quality plants. The fruit is preceded by a flowering stage in which there are stamens and ovules. When a pollen reaches a flower, the flower becomes fertile and is able to turn into a fruit. ۔ Until the fruit ripens and is ready with the seed that gives birth to the next generation. Therefore, all fruits indicate that (even in plants) there are males and organs. This is a truth that the Qur'an has stated long ago.
Some species of plants can also bear fruit from non-fertilized flowers. (Collectively called parthinocarpic fruit) These include bananas, pineapples, figs, malts and grapes. These plants also have very clear gender characteristics.
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْئٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْ جَيْنِ [10]
Translation: And of everything We have made pairs.
In this blessed verse, it is emphasized that everything should be in pairs. Apart from humans, animals, fruits and plants, it is very possible that this verse is also referring to blessed electricity in which atoms consist of negatively charged electrons and positively charged nuclei. There could be many more couples besides them.
Glory be to the One Who created all things, and all that is in them.
