Introduction to Islam
Islam is a monotheistic religion based on the teachings of the last inspired book (Quran)
conveyed to mankind by Allah through the last messenger and prophet, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib (peace be upon him). That is, the beginning of Islam (and the reformation of previous religions according to the Muslim ideology) both secularly and religiously, the revelation from Allah to Muhammad (peace be upon him) over a period of 23 years from 610 to 632 (Qur'an). The Qur'an was revealed in Arabic (for a reason: the language of the Qur'an) and is read in the same language by some 24% of the world's population, or about 1.6 to 1.8 billion people. Of these (according to various sources) only about 200 to 300 million are those whose mother tongue is Arabic while 70-80 million are non-Arabs or non-Arabs whose mother tongue is any other than Arabic. Unlike other inspired books in their present form from various personal sources, the Book of Revelation, a book written orally by a single person (Muhammad) and providing guidance to follow this book. Shari'a is one of the two sources of Islamic knowledge.
