Happening The nation of Aad

 The nation of Aad

Between the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea, on both sides of the south and north of Arabia, ie Oman, Hadhrat Muwat, Bahrain and western Yemen, there is a vast desert, which is known as the "desert of Al-Ahqaf". Also, it is called "Great Desert of the World" and "Al-Rabi 'Al-Khali". Al-Ahqaf is the plural of Haqq, which literally means "high and lofty mounds of sand." Traveling in this desolate, desolate desert is so far-fetched, it is unthinkable to step into it, that heading towards this horrible valley of death is tantamount to suicide. That is why no one likes to go near this desert, from the local Bedouins to the adventurous tourists. If something is thrown into mountains thousands of feet high in white and fine sand, it sinks in an instant and does not move on the surface of the sand. This desert is one of the clear signs of God Almighty and a place of learning for the people of the world. Looking at this horrible valley called Al-Ahqaf, it is impossible to imagine that it was once the most lush and lush region in the world, with its vast orchards of numerous fruits and flowers, cold springs, waterfalls and highlands. And there were high buildings, in which lived the nation of Aad, the most powerful, wealthy and glorious civilization in the world. He was the tallest and most powerful man in the world. God did not create such powerful people again. As Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an, "No nation has been created like them (in other nations)." (Al-Fajr 8 :) In the area between Hadramaut and Najran, in Al-Ahqaf, the "People of Aad" Iram (also called) 13 tribes were settled. Regarding the people of Aad living in Al-Ahqaf, Allah Almighty said in the Holy Qur'an, "Remember Hud, when he warned his people in Al-Ahqaf." (Al-Ahqaf 21 :) Allama Jalal-ud-Din Suyuti in his commentary "Darmanshur" I write that "the people of Aad were a very strong and brave people." They were idolaters. Their two idols are named Hammud and Hub. Ibn Kathir in his commentary has mentioned the name of the third idol, "Samad".

In the office of prophecy

After the Flood of Noah, the people of Aad were the first people to become involved in disbelief and polytheism and became idol worshipers. They were very proud of their stone gods. Their economic condition was very good, but ignorance, misguidance, lies, obscenity, false statements and erroneous ideas had brought them to the brink of social destruction, so that the nation of Aad drowned in the sea of disbelief and polytheism. When the evil deeds of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) crossed their limits, Allaah sent one of them, His righteous servant, Hazrat Hud, as a Prophet. Thus, in the Holy Qur'an, Allah says: “And We sent to the people of Aad their brother Hud. He said, “Brothers! Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him. Are you not afraid? ”Then the chiefs of his people, who were infidels, said,“ You look foolish to us and we think you are a liar. ”He said,“ My people! There is nothing foolish in me, but I am a messenger of the Lord of the worlds. I convey to you God's message, and I am your trustworthy, well-wisher. Do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man among you, that he may warn you? And remember when He made you leaders after the people of Noah and made you spread out in Dale Dole. So remember the blessings of Allah that you may be saved. ”They said:“ Have you come to us to worship Allah alone and to whom our fathers and grandfathers have come to worship? Leave? So bring upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us, if thou art of the truthful. ”Hood said:“ Punishment and wrath have been decreed upon you from your Lord. Do you then dispute with me concerning names which you and your fathers and your fathers have given to whom Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait, I too am with you. Then We saved Hud and those with him, and cut off the roots of those who denied Our revelations, and they were not believers. ”(Al-A'raf 65) -72)

Two important tribes of the people of Aad

Hazrat Hud continued to preach and advise his people for a long time. Sometimes they would remind them of the blessings bestowed by Allah, sometimes they would warn them of divine punishment, but they remained deaf and blind. In the historical books, it is said that Hazrat Hood was engaged in teaching and admonishing for fifty years or more. Out of the thirteen tribes of the people of Aad, the tribes of Luqman and Khaljan were very powerful and had the status of rulers. When Hazrat Hud gave the call of truth and called for the worship of one God instead of disbelief and polytheism, the Luqman tribe strongly resisted and became enemies of Hazrat Hud. On the contrary, the other tribes, the Khaljans, pondered over Hud's words and most of them soon accepted his invitation and became believers.

The prayer of Hazrat Hood

Hazrat Hud tried his best to guide his people to the path of truth, but the people refused to accept his invitation, so in the end he prayed for help in the presence of God, which the Holy Qur'an says The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O my Lord! They have called me a liar, but help me. ”(Al-Muminoon 39 :) Allah said in response to the call of His Prophet,“ (O Prophet) they will soon begin to repent for what they have done. ”(Al-Muminoon 40: )

The beginning of divine punishment

Allah Almighty accepted the prayer of His Prophet and the torment began on the people of Aad. He commanded the angel of the clouds not to send rain. He commanded the angel of the springs to dry up their springs and streams of water with their cool, sweet and clear water, so that at once their lush fields and orchards began to dry up and their cattle began to die, until They were even thirsty for drinking water. Excessive production of fruits and grains became extinct. The whole nation was devastated by the drought. This continued for three consecutive years. Hazrat Hud did not see this problem of his people. He used to be very depressed and upset and then one day he said to his people, “O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Repent and seek forgiveness before Him. He will send down on you a rain from the sky and will increase your strength and (see), do not turn away as a sinner. ”(Hud 52 :) The Holy Qur'an and the Blessed Hadith I have mentioned the great benefits of repentance and asking for forgiveness. There is a blessed hadith in Ibn Majah and Abu Dawood that “Whoever seeks forgiveness from Allah, Allah will make for him a way out of every thought and every difficulty and will provide for him from a place which is beyond his delusion. In any case, in spite of the explanation of Hazrat Hud, it should not have any effect on that nation, but rather showing great arrogance and saying that we should only obey our ancestors and our gods at your request. Why leave? The Holy Qur'an describes it as follows: “O Hud! You have not come to us with any proof, and we will not forsake our gods nor believe in you because of what you say. Rather, we think that one of our gods has made you insane. (Hud 53-53-)

The chief of the people of Aad in the Holy Hijaz

Drought in the early stages of divine punishment worsened the condition of the people of Aad, so their chiefs and wise men began to consider various measures to get rid of it. It is astonishing that whenever a problem befell the previous nations, they would travel to the Holy Hijaz to get rid of it and go to Baitullah Sharif and sigh before Allah. That is to say, even the infidel nations acknowledged the fact that there is an immortal power in this earth and space, but in spite of this, when the Prophet and the Prophet said this, their intellect would be veiled. The chiefs of the people of Aad also decided that the leaders of the nation should go to Baitullah Sharif and cry out to the unseen God. So, a delegation of 70 people, including the chiefs of different tribes and other important people, left for the Holy Hijaz. At that time, Makkah was ruled by the "Amalekite Nation", whose leader was Mu'awiyah bin Bakr, and Mu'awiyah's mother, who belonged to the tribe of Aad. He was very impressed, so much so that he visited the delegation for a great cause and welcomed him with great honor and respect. According to the narration of Tabari, there were two persons in this delegation, Murshid bin Sa'd and Luqman bin Laqeem, Sahib Iman and followers of Hazrat Hud. They probably belong to the Khiljan tribe. All but these two were infidels and idolaters. Mu'awiyah organized dance and anthem gatherings in their honor, and for about a month they forgot the purpose of their visit and remained intoxicated with luxury and drunkenness. When their stay was prolonged, Mu'awiyah ibn Bakr became anxious for their return. After much thought, he reminded the dancers of the purpose of their visit in the form of a few poems, which brought the delegation to their senses. It is recorded in the historical books that Murshid and Luqman, who were part of the delegation on that occasion, once again tried to persuade them to believe what Hazrat Hud said, but they did not believe him.

The torment of a strong wind

The delegation went to Baitullah Sharif and started praying for rain. It was only a short time later that Allah Almighty sent clouds of three colors into the sky, one white, the other black and the third red. At the same time, an unseen cry came from the heavens: "Choose one of these three for yourself and your people." So the delegation, after some deliberation, chose the black cloud for itself, with which the red And the white pieces disappeared from the sky and the black clouds slowly began to cover the sky. They were very happy to have their prayers answered and thought that the drought would end. So, the whole nation started rejoicing, but Hazrat Hood understood that this was divine punishment, so he once again addressed his people and said, “O my people! This is the torment of Allah, which He desires to descend upon you. ”Then he recited to them the command of Allah.“ (No), but in fact this cloud is that (torment) which you were hastening. This is a storm of wind, in which a painful torment is coming, which will destroy everything by the command of its Lord. ”(Al-Ahqaf 24:) It is mentioned in the hadith that Ayesha Siddiqah (peace be upon her) He asked, “O Messenger of Allah! People are happy to see clouds that it will rain now, but do you see signs of concern on the contrary? He said, 'Aisha! What guarantee is there that there will be no torment in this cloud, when a nation was destroyed by the torment of the wind? That people also saw the cloud and said, "It is a cloud that will rain on us." (Bukhari) Hazrat Ayesha says that when the wind was strong, the Holy Prophet would ask for this prayer, "O Allah! I ask you for its good and for what is in it, for its good and for what you have put evil in it, so I seek refuge in you from it and its evil. ”(Sahih Muslim) Hazrat Ayesha says that when the sky was covered with clouds, the color of the face of the Holy Prophet (sws) would change. He would have been in a state of fear, which would have made him restless. Sometimes coming out, sometimes entering, sometimes in front and sometimes behind. Then when it rained, then there would be happiness. ”Hazrat Ayesha says that seeing this condition, I asked in the holy service, then he said,“ O Ayesha! Let it not happen, as the people of Aad said. Then he recited this verse: “When (the people of Aad) saw this (torment) coming towards their settlements (in the form of clouds), they said,“ This is a cloud, raining down on us. ”(Tirmidhi). (Ibn Majah) It is said in the Holy Qur'an that "Allah continued this torment of the strong wind for seven nights and eight days continuously." (Al-Haaqqa 7 :) The wind did not leave anyone behind, it reached everyone. Gone Inside the caves, in the valleys and peaks of the mountains, inside the houses, palaces and forts, all perished. It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The wind by which the people of Aad were destroyed, Allaah opened a wind over them like a ring. So the wind first blew into the villages and lifted the people and the cattle and the livestock there and carried them between the heavens and the earth. ”(Muslim) Allah Almighty protected Hazrat Hud and his companions from this terrible wind and they Took refuge in a settlement called "Khatira", where the torment did not reach them and they lived in peace.

Mention of Hazrat Hood in the Holy Quran

Allah Almighty has mentioned the torment that will befall the people of Aad in various places in the Holy Qur'an so that those who are suffering from disbelief, polytheism and arrogance may be warned. In addition, a surah of the Holy Qur'an is named after Surah Hud. This surah in the eleventh verse of the Holy Qur'an consists of 123 verses and ten rak'ahs. Surah Hud is Makki. It was revealed at a time when the persecution of the disbelievers of Makkah was at its height, so that Surah Hud mentions the previous nations who became the target of God's wrath by denying the Prophets and Messengers of Allah and on the pages of history. Became a role model forever. Surah Hud contains the stories and incidents of seven prophets, but attributing this Surah to the name of Hazrat Hud shows that the stories of Hazrat Hud and the torment that befell the people of Aad are of special importance. According to the hadith, some of the hair of the blessed beard of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) turned white, so Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq said, “O Messenger of Allaah! He got old. ”So he said,“ Yes! I was made old by Surah Hud. ”In some narrations, along with Surah Hud, Surah Al-Waqi'ah, Mursalat, Al-Naba and Surah Takweer are also mentioned. (Rawa al-Hakim wa al-Tirmidhi)

Happy age

According to some narrations of Allama Tabari, Hazrat Hud was one hundred and fifty years old. He was given prophethood at the age of fifty, continued to preach and advise the nation for fifty years, lived for another fifty years after the demise of the nation and continued to preach and teach to the believers.

Shrine of Hazrat Hood

Historical books show that the shrine of Hazrat Hood is at a place of death, where thousands of people from different parts of Arabia gather, although this tomb is not historically proven. (Allah knows best)
