10. Sphere Bed – $50,000

Designed by Karim Rashid, the Sphere Bed has a unique and retro design. The canopy frame wraps around the entire mattress, with a tall headboard, footboard, and an enclosed top. The frame has a bright red and durable upholstery to make for the coolest focal point of any bedroom.

The Sphere Bed features a 32-inch TV, cup holders, mirrors, LED lights, surround sounds speakers, and an adjustable bed frame. This bed is truly for people who enjoy spending lots of time in bed.

9. The Monarch Vi-Spring Bed – $50,000

Vi-Spring offers some of the most luxurious beds in the world. Unsurprisingly, the mattress itself contains a luxurious blend of cashmere, lambswool, and mohair. The support unit contains upwards of 3000 stainless steel coils.

The bed frame is made from environmentally-friendly hollow bamboo. Bamboo is naturally moisture-wicking, hypoallergenic, and antibacterial. Bamboo also improves airflow throughout the bed—a feature important to improving your sleep quality.

8. Starry Night Sleep Technology Bed – $50,000

The Starry Night Sleep Technology Bed is a high-tech mattress offered at a premium price.

The Starry Night Sleep Technology Bed features a surround sound stereo and video projector you can use to display stars across your room or turn your bedroom into a movie theater—hence the name.  The bed also includes a phone docking station for charging so you’re never too far from your devices.

The mattress itself is unique, as well. The bed is split down the middle so you and your partner can customize either side of the bed. It features anti-snore technology, temperature control, and a sleep diagnostic center to monitor your movements and breathing patterns.

7. Cosmovoide Bed – $60,000

The egg-like Cosmovide Bed has a futuristic look. The entirety of this large frame is a mattress, with plenty of cushioning and a soft knit cover.

The bed comes with a built-in phone, DVD player, a TV set, and surround sound audio. Not only that, but the top of the frame has colored LED lighting for late nights and early mornings.

Compared to beds and technology nowadays, the Cosmovide Bed is quite retro—what with a built-in cable phone and a DVD player—but this bed is luxurious nonetheless.

6. Majesty Vi-Spring Bed – $84,400

The Majesty Vi-Spring Bed has a variety of extra features compared to the Monarch.

At almost double the price of the Monarch, the Majesty Bed is handcrafted by its designer, Jab Anstoetz, and contains more than 6000 calico-pocketed springs for perfect weight distribution. The mattress contains some of the softest materials in the world: British fleece wool, Shetland wool silk, cashmere, and European horsetail.

One of the biggest reasons the Majesty Bed costs nearly $85,000 is the real silver and gold stitched into the bed.

5. The Vividus – $140,000

Handmade in north Sweden, the Vividus bed contains horsetail hair, long-fiber cotton, flax, pine, wool, and a pocketed coil support system. The mattress, its box spring, and its pillow top come in a variety of colors and styles.

Buying the Vividus is no straightforward task. Shoppers must call Hästens’ VIP phone number and book a private test-sleep appointment. After that, it takes roughly 45 days for Hästens to hand-craft your bed and send it your way.

However, for this high price, Hästens claims the Vividus bed lasts over 45 years.

4. Quantum Sleeper Bed – $160,000

If you’re preparing for a disaster or simply want to live out of your bed, take a look at the Quantum Sleeper Bed. The water-tight bed closes in on itself and is built to protect you against natural disasters, intruders, and weapons.

The mattress is all-inclusive and has a fridge, microwave, TV, toilet system, backup power unit, emergency communicator, rebreather, and a filtered ventilation system. You can also lock the bed for extra safety measures.

3. Jado Steel Style Gold Bed – $676,500

The Jago Steel Style Gold Bed was built to stand out.

The bed frame is very flashy, being almost entirely built from solid gold and Swarovski crystals. The frame includes Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a DVD player, a gaming system, and a surround sound system. This bed is less about sleeping and more about having some fun.

2. Magnetic Floating Bed – $1,600,000

One of the most unique beds in the world is the Magnetic Floating Bed, designed by architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars. The bed feels like you’re floating on a cloud, and for its ridiculously high price point, we expect nothing less.

The bed manages to hover off the ground thanks to the 1500 pounds of magnets beneath it. For safety reasons and to prevent the bed from floating away, the bed is secured to the walls with durable cords.

Designed by Stuart Hughes—a man famous for designing the world’s most expensive items, including yachts, cars, and electronics—the Baldacchino Supreme Bed is a masterpiece. Only two of these luxurious beds exist in the world, making it not only the most expensive bed in the world but also the rarest.

The bed is hand-built by Italian furniture makers, the frame is made from ash, cherry, and chestnut woods and has intricate carvings. The bed’s classy canopy is made from almost 250 pounds of 24-carat gold and adorns Italian silk and cotton curtains. The headboard is custom-built and features diamonds—or other stones of the buyer’s choice.
