five pillars of Islam
There are five pillars of Islam, the first of which is the oneness of God and the confession of the prophethood of the Holy Prophet. The second member of prayer, the third. Fasting, the fourth Zakat and. The fifth is Hajj. Numerous verses and hadiths have been narrated about each of these five members. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Islam is based on five things: to bear witness that there is no god but Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, establishing prayers, paying Zakat, fasting Ramadaan and Hajj for the person who has the power to go to it. ”(Jami 'al-Tirmidhi)
These five elements have a great deal to do with shaping the personality of a believer and making him an ideal character. ۔
۔1۔ First of all, take the word of martyrdom, through which a believer is freed from the worship of the
creatures by confessing the oneness of his Lord, and by confessing the message of the Holy Prophet, he determines the way of life. This is the basis of faith and this is the basic belief on which the rest of the pillars and Islamic teachings are based. That is why the Holy Qur'an places so much emphasis on the doctrine of Tawheed and Prophethood and it is stated in hundreds of verses. The Almighty Himself has testified that there is no god but Him and the angels have also testified to it and the scholars have also acknowledged it. His glory is that he will manage the factory of the world with justice. ”(Al-Imran)
Every prophet called for this monotheism. The Holy Prophet said:
“O my people! Worship Him, there is no god but He.
It is as if the Almighty Himself is the witness of the Oneness of the Almighty, His angels are the witnesses and the Holy Prophets (sws) and the intellects are the witnesses.
In the same way, the Holy Qur'an proclaimed the message of the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
And commanding them to believe in his message, he said, “O you who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger. ”(Al-Nisa ')
2. The second pillar of Islam is prayer. “Establish prayer.” (Al-Baqarah)
Prayer has been called the pillar of the religion and it is a duty by which Muslims and non-Muslims are identified. Prayer is the act of worship that plays a fundamental role in shaping a believer's personality and connects the servant to his Lord.
"And establish prayer for My remembrance." (Taha)
Prayer prevents all kinds of immorality and evil. Prayer becomes the expiation for past sins and cleanses the believer from the pollution of sins. In Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained the virtue of prayer and its benefits by giving a sensory and outward example that the example of five prayers is like a stream of water flowing in front of a person's door He bathes in it five times, tell me if dirt will remain on his body ... ?
The Companions of Rizwan Alayh Ajmeen said that dirt would not remain on his body. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: This is the example of the five prayers which he performed. Allaah purifies him from the pollution of sins with the blessings of these prayers.
In another hadith, it is said, "Five prayers from one Friday to the next Friday become the expiation for sins, unless a major sin is committed." That is, minor sins are automatically forgiven, although major sins are forgiven. Forgiveness of sins requires repentance and forgiveness.
3. One of the pillars of Islam is the fast of Ramadan. Which creates the quality of meditation in the heart of the believer, by which he understands that I am before my Lord and He sees me in every situation. Fasting acts as a shield against sins. Fasting is a shield, fasting reminds us of the hunger and thirst of our needy brothers and urges us to sympathize and cooperate with them.
Regarding the virtue of fasting, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah says that fasting is for me and I will repay it and He said that there will be a special gate for the fasting people in Paradise called Ryan.
4. Zakat is one of the most important pillars of Islam. Irshad is about to establish the prayer and pay the Zakat. (Al-Baqarah)
However, the condition for fulfilling this duty is that the person should be wealthy and have a syllabus. That is why Zakat is called financial worship and it also plays an important role in the personality of the believer and protects him from the evil effects of stinginess, miserliness and wealth by instilling in his heart the love of the poor and generosity towards them. Creates a feeling of pain. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “That is, the wealth of Zakat will be taken from their rich and distributed among the poor and needy.”
Its importance can be gauged from the fact that during the caliphate of the Rightly Guided Caliph Amir al-Mu'minin Hazrat Siddiq Akbar, he waged jihad against those who refused to pay Zakat, and for his virtue it is enough to give him the glad tidings of Paradise. Has gone
5. The last member of Islam is Hajj, which belongs to Bait-ul-Sharif, which is in Makkah. To which every Muslim prays facing five times and this duty is a once in a lifetime obligation on every Muslim who has the power to go there.
Irshad Bari is "and it is obligatory on him to perform Hajj to the house of the person who has the power to reach it." (Al-Imran)
